Series two picks up one year after series one and a lot has changed. Claire’s (Jessica Knappett) got a hot new man, and most importantly, Jonathan’s (Romesh Ranganathan) wearing lycra. After realising he made a terrible mistake not getting back together with Claire, Jonathan tries everything to impress and win her back, from taking up cycling, to practising affirmations and even an ill-fated stage performance. But he soon discovers it’s too late and Claire has moved on with Brett (Matthew Lewis), aka the hottest man in Horsham. Jonathan falls into the dating world when a school mum, Megan (Aisling Bea), buys him at a favours auction. Dan (Mandeep Dhillon) and Courtney (Lisa McGrillis) prepare for their first child, which includes a meltdown over toxic baby grows, failed attempts at ‘gentle parenting’ and Dan grappling with how to manage new career opportunities with becoming a Mum. Meanwhile, Spencer (Kieran Logendra) takes up jiujitsu to impress his school crush Sam (Olive Tennant), with varying degrees of success.
